(Solved) VVDI2 unable to work on any laptop

 Complaint from a VVDI2 owner:
I’ve had a vvdi2 for over two months now, unable to get it to work, I have four different laptops, all do different things, cannot find device, or as soon as I go to load it up it doesn’t work, I’ve tried reloading software over and over, shutting down firewall, am I not updating properly, does anyone else have these problem, kinda getting disappointed with this machine, any help would be appreciated .

VVDI2 tech support:

Disable driver signature requirement on computer, keep pressing F8 on startup
Also make sure you install the correct drivers, if one doesn’t work try the other. Should be in the same folder where you extracted the software

Important: Operators fail for sure …don’t blame the tool….unistall any windows defender, antivirus, non compatible software etc….best thing its getting just one laptop for xhorse and problem solved

Just a simple laptop …with nothing at all …i personally use windows xp and windows 7 ….but it will work in any system

This is how to do Flashing or Programming on BMW F30 using ISTA (ISTA-D v4.3.21 and ISTA-P v3.60.2) PsdZData Full, using an ICOM A2 emulator china clone

I have set up ISTAD and ISTAP within Oracle VirtualBox virtual machine.

ISTAD v4.3.21
My understanding was that ISTAD v4.x.x was supposed to be able to do flash programming and eventually replace ISTAP. I have not been able to get this working with my setup after weeks of trying. Not sure if anyone else has gotten this functionality to work. Otherwise, ISTAD has been great in terms of serving as diagnostic software and factory service manual.
VCI configs…
It would seem to calculate measures fine which is another way of saying determine which modules need to be flashed. However, pressing “Execute measures plan” would result in no action.

I finally decided to give ISTAP a try. I know flash programming can be done via ESYS after talking with number more experienced forum members, but I prefer a factory all-in-one solution for simpletons like myself. Fortunately, ISTAP worked when ISTAD did not.

What the display says when in the first few minutes of programming…
I did see the “Emergency call malfunction” warning after I restarted the car after completing the flash. It went away after driving for a bit.
A few notes:
– Total duration for everything was about 57 mins
– ISTAP will flash firmware onto the modules and then code them. The coding process is automatic and it is fairly short. However, there will be a few dialog boxes that pop up to warn you or instruction you to do certain things such as calibrate the steering wheel angle, close all doors, etc. You’ll see your instrument cluster, climate system, windows/sunroof activate and deactivate. Don’t worry. Your car is not possessed, it’s just ISTAP doing everything to re-initialize your vehicle.
– You will lose your previous coding. For example, I had VO coded Bluetooth Audio/Media, tire pressure and temperature displays, and 6 blinks instead of the default 3 blinks for the turn signals. You will have to re-code all of that.
PsdZData Full
So one major issue that I foresaw was that ISTAD, ISTAP, and ESYS all have different places they want to access PsdZData Full. You don’t want to have 3 separate places to store all this data because it would consume a ridiculous amount of space. PsdZData Full is about ~70 GB. The solution is to decide where you want to keep the real physical PsdZData Full and create symbolic links for the other two applications to utilize.

How to do 2005 Lexus GX470 key programming

This is a tutorial of for those being the first 2005 GX470 owner to “program” the key.
 I had a bit of a problem at first with programming the key but it was due to the “timing” where you had to press one or two of the buttons within 2 seconds after opening and closing the door…
 For the record, by “programming” I mean that I was able to get a brand new replacement key to function with my 2005 GX470 for the following functions:

Lock doors
Unlock doors
Panic button

The key still had to go back to the dealer to have it keyed for the ignition kill start. But everything else worked fine.

Note: ignition kill start
The ignition kill start is the FACTORY LEXUS ignition starter kill. Embedded in the the on board LEXUS vehicle is a master component/computer that prevents any attempts to hotwire/jump start the vehicle, like in the movies (eg, break glass, open door, rip panel from under steering wheel, rip wires and splice/short the wires…)

The LEXUS system I believe is called the IMMOBILIZER (?) and it will NOT allow the car/truck to start without the decoded encoded onto the KEY FOB. I told a fib to my dealer and told them that my “factory” key stopped working for the ignition, everything else worked, doors unlock/lock/panic, key turns in (locksmith cut it for me…), dealer cheerfully reprogrammed the key no charge.

Programming instructions – as requested
System Operation:

Pressing LOCK button activates alarm and central locking.
Pressing UNLOCK button one deactivates alarm and unlocks driver’s door only.
Pressing UNLOCK button twice within 3 seconds deactivates alarm and unlocks all doors.
If vehicle is unlocked and doors or trunk/tailgate not opened within 30 seconds, locks/alarm are reactivated.

Programming

When:
* Key remote transmitter added or replaced.
* System malfunction

How:
* Driver’s door open, all other doors closed, key removed from ignition switch.
* Within 5 seconds:
* Insert and remove the key from the ignition switch twice.
* Within 40 seconds:
* Close and open the driver’s door twice.
* Insert and remove the key from the ignition switch.
* Within 40 seconds:
* Close and open the driver’s door twice.
* Insert the key into the ignition switch and close the driver’s door.
* Switch ignition ON and OFF once to program a key remote transmitter code whilst retaing the original codes or twice to program a remote transmitter code whilst erasing the original codes. Three times to check how many key remote transmitters are currently registered or five times to erase all registered codes.
* Remove key from ignition ****ch:
* System should now lock and unlock vehicle. Once, twice or five times depending which mode has been selected. One to four times, slowly, to indicate number of key remote transmitters registered.
* Within 40 seconds:
* Press and hold LOCK and UNLOCK buttons simultaneously for 1.5 seconds.
* Within 3 seconds:
* Press and release LOCK or UNLOCK button.
* System should now lock and unlock vehicle once to confirm registration, twice to indicate registration has failed.
* Within 40 seconds:
* Repeat button procedure to program remaining key remote transmitters.

NOTE: To exit programming mode: Open driver’s door or insert ignition key.
NOTE: A maximum of 4 key remote transmitters can be programmed.

Digiprog 3 Odometer Correction Doesn't Models List

... as with all clones from opcom to ktag I don`t trust nobody and when possible I replace all parts with good parts from a good brand and trusted part supplier trying to minimize potential problems.
you defend the low cost parts saying also that those parts are not illegal ...
.... how about the clones build from these parts? are they legal?
on the other hand just do an firmware upgrade on this , and you will see how genuine is ....

BDM Adapter Review: Write EDC17C46 Vw Yeti 2014 with KTAG

This is my experience pack software using BDM frame connectors china clone with  Ktag 2.23

I have already received the shipment and I have time to test them without problems in Bosch EDC16U1 and in bosch EDC17c46. before using them I have reviewed almost all of these and I have not had any problem with the circuits, the lines or the solders of the pins. Someone mentioned that I had problems with resistance and fortunately I did not have these problems. So far all circuits and components are well installed and functioning as it should be.

The main difference of Global TIS and TIS2000 software is that:

THE ONLY IMPORTANT DIFFERENCE: SPS Programming functions are exist with TIS200! Global Tis is not able to do programming, just for only diagnostic procedures.

Besides, They are the same thing in practice, NOT 2 separate things. Global TIS is the newer version of TIS 2000. One replaced the other. Get Global TIS working and use that. Forget about TIS2000.

Global TIS install:

You will need the GlobalTIS ISO, Saab GlobalTIS keygen (https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B0M...ew?usp=sharing), Sumatra PDF (if you don't have a PDF reader), and the Virtual CD ControlPanel (https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/down....aspx?id=38780)
Put all of these files on the desktop.

Steps:
  1. Launch and unzip Virtual CD-ROM control panel

The main difference of Global TIS and TIS2000 software is that:

THE ONLY IMPORTANT DIFFERENCE: SPS Programming functions are exist with TIS200! Global Tis is not able to do programming, just for only diagnostic procedures.

Besides, They are the same thing in practice, NOT 2 separate things. Global TIS is the newer version of TIS 2000. One replaced the other. Get Global TIS working and use that. Forget about TIS2000.

Note that TIS2000 is used with Tech 2 clone while Global TIS is working with GM MDI interface

TIS2000 install:

TIS2000 will run on Windows 7, also Windows 8.1, but it has to be 32 bit OS. Don't know if it works on Windows 10, but if it is 32 bit as well it might.

How to install GDS2 software on VMware Player

GDS2 VMWare installation tips and guides for newbies:

Install the VM player as admin (right click on it and select run as admin).
Once have vm player installed on your machine, forget all about the VM player app start icon, since you not going to use it, since the xp version it has set up under it, will not work with nothing else but GDS2 software.
Now copy the GDS2 folder from the disc, to somewhere on your drive (folder and the files in it).
Now in that GDS2 folder you just copied to your hard drive, your going to right click on the VM.vmx file inside that folder and select to open it with Vm player app (selected from programs from the list).
If you want a icon to click on to open the GDS2 program via VM player without having to go into the folder each time, do a copy on the VM.vmx file via the right click method, go over to your desk top, do a right click paste of it there to make a short cut, do another click on the shortcut icon you just pasted into desk top, go down to rename, and just change the shortcut name to GSD2. Now when you click on the new icon named GSD2 you just made, it will open up GDS2 in the vm player.
If you want the icon in the start drop down menu, then right click on it again, and select pin to start menu (classic in my case, since I run classic shell since windows 8).
Hence you don't start the GDS2 program by clicking on VM player, but by clicking on the vm.vmx file in the program, with it desinated to be opened up via VM player instead. Note if you do the GDS2 shortcut icon, make sure that is selected to open up with VM player as well.

Note that SPS functions are exist with Global Tis! GDS2 haven't SPS, just for only diagnostic procedures.

Once did a 458 with Digiprog 3.
Someone doubt that DP3 can do this. But for me, it works! Though it is a clone, but the software is same as original tool.
The tools only needs to read the EEPROM, we know Digiprog can do this for many other cars without problem, so if it reads the correct mileage so I don’t see much risk.
But the mileage is also in the ECU of Ferrari.

The most important:
The main difference between cgdi mb and vvdi mb is that, on old Mercedes, cgdi mb is able to OBD program a new key while you have to disassemble EIS to add a new key with vvdi mb tool. That is why you should have a cgdi programmer for mb.

With VVDI MB, you should buy Vvdi prog too, because the are some eis and ecu’s that you cant do with MB Tool independently. For example some w210 eis or Sprinter 906. You should have both, VVDI MB Tool and VVDI prog. Or, if you have to buy some tool again, Simon Touch is the best, but its more expensive.
But if you have a CGDI MB, you have a chance to program a new key through OBD. All done with a tool. That’s the reason why I bought it.
