Review 1:
As I understand 2018 BMW E/F scanner is BMW Explorer clone! Very interested in this because this have EGS ISN reset option that some said will be coming to VVDI2 in next update but that was 3 updates ago so i guess it is not coming..
I considered to get CGDI BMW that does almost the same things for BMW as VVDI2 and much more including this EGS ISN option but CGDI is meant to use with subscription (Subscription or free if you have CGDI MB or CG Pro 9S12. ) so i don’t need that. But 2018 BMW E/F scanner clone tool i would like to get if it works so any feedback from this E/F Scanner working or not working would be appreciated.

I know that buying BMW Explorer would be the right thing to do but it is crazy expensive (You can get the base version for 1.200€ + Module for authorization CAS1 CAS2 CAS3 CAS3 600€.) and while i can’t afford to invest that kind of money in tools for now i am willing to take a chance on clone tools like 2018 BMW E/F scanner clone. VVDI2 and CGDI also are not the origin developers of options like FEM key making, ISN reading. That all is coming from BMW Explorer. They have just cloned the service under their own tools.

Xhorse made a blue colored Bmw vvdi unit (said this 3 years ago)
That will have these explorer functions.
Will they also upgrade the vvdi2?

If not, i am thinking of buying cgdi BMW, instead of this explorer scanner. It cost a 116euros more.
The description of the bmw cgdi is very similar to the explorer.
I already have the full vvdi2 including Bmw. So i would prefer a vvdi2 update in the near future.

Nice feature on the cgdi bmw is the eeprom adapter, you can plug in. (costs extra,bought from http://www.obdexpress.co.uk/wholesale/reading-8-foot-chip-free-clip-adapter.html)
Would love to see that on the vvdi2.

Only problem is on getting ID -> have to switch many times the ingnition on off. Then I get an error, that ID can’t be read. And after pressing OK it is showing the whole ID and I can save it.

Jasper und Edmonton

Tagesbericht von Trip nach Jasper vom 14. Februar 2019. Also nach unseren Frühstück haben wir uns auf den Weg nach Jasper gemacht. Erwartete Fahrzeit ca. 4 Stunden. Es war eine wunderschöne Fahrt durch die verschneiten Rockies. Vorbei an unzähligen Tälern und ebenso vielen Wälder mit unterschiedlichsten Farben und Formen in grün und braun und leider auch schwarz, ging es bei traumhaften Wetter und stahlblauem Himmel und - 24 Grad Celsius bis nachher Jasper. Dort angekommen haben wir unsere Zimmer im Hotel Lobstick, was so viel wie Markierungspfosten heisst, bezogen und sind anschliessend zum Schwimmen in den Pool. Nachtessen nicht schlecht. Am nächsten Morgen, was für eine Enttäuschung, das Wetter ist schlecht bei Wind und leichtem Schneefall und grau in grau. Wie haben uns den Tag aber nicht vermiesen lassen und sind im Hotel zu einem guten Zmorgen gegangen. Anschliessen sind wir tapfer zum Skifahren gegangen. Nach ca. 30 Minuten sind wir im Skigebiet angekommen wo unsere Tickets bereit lagen. Schon ging es auf einen 4-er Sessellift und den Berg hoch. Die Sicht wurde nicht besser und auch die Kälte blieb was uns schon bald nach der 2. Abfahrt ins Resti trieb. Auch nach einem guten Kaffe wurde es nicht besser und wir verdrückten uns vom Skiberg wieder ins Hotel. Anschliessen noch kurz schöppelen und ins Pool zum relaxen. Nachtessen im Hotel eine K-Strophe. Zwischenzeitlich haben wir unsere Pläne wegen des Wetters geändert und sind einen Tag früher nach Edmonton gefahren. Dank Elfi haben wir kurzfristig ein nettes Hotel für wenig Geld gefunden. Nur noch Packen und schon bald ins Bett. Anderntags immer noch Scheefall und Sau kalt. Nach dem Zmorgen haben wir die 4 Stunden Fahrt nach Edmonton auf teils vereister Fahrbahn unter die Räder genommen. War teilweise grenzwertig aber Bernhard hatte alles im Griff. In Edmonton angekommen sind wir in die weltgrösste Shopping Mal gegangen und haben uns staunend über die vielen Läden gemacht. Dann kurz ins Hotel, Einchecken und wieder los in den Olive Garden wo wir beinahe noch eine Stunde warten mussten bis wir unser wohlverdientes Znacht haberen könnten. So genug jetzt, ins Bett und morgen nochmals zum Shoppingcenter und dann zu Linda nach Lacombe, welches ca. 1 Fahrstunde von Edmonton auf dem Weg nach Calgary liegt. Wir werden dort übernachten und am anderen Tag weiter Calgary fahren wo unsere Reise nach der letzten Übernachtung endet. Bernhard und Franziska fliegen noch für 3 weiter Tage nach Toronto wo sie einen Bekannten besuchen und dann anschliessen zusammen nach Zürich zurück fliegen. Ich aber werde bei Montreal nach Zürich heimfliegen wo ich von meiner Frau empfangen werde. Thats it! Thanks to All, especialy to Frau Blum.

How To Solve Vxdiag Nano GM GDS2 firmware checksum is incorrect

Vxdiag Nano GM Opel GDS2 firmware checksum is incorrect. I will include pictures below. My guess is that VXManager is doing a 64-bit checksum but expects the result to be from a 32-bit checksum.

Problem description:
I have one concern remaining. On the Diagnostics screen in VXmanager, I select Passthru as one of MyApps and it shows a screen that says “Please install”. When I click the Install button, it says “Failed, Retry!”. It does the same thing when I try to Install the “GM GDS2/T2W”. I know that Tech2Win is working correctly because I have already used it for important work. I will have no need to use GM SPS for some time (and my belief is that is what “Passthru” is needed for) so I don’t know if it will fail later when I try to use it.

I do know that during the VxManager install it showed that it correctly installed “VCX Passthru Driver (SAE-J2534-2)” so perhaps the “Install” button in VxManager is not expected to work? I am attaching a picture of the failure screen.

Finally solved!!!
Hello. I found a work-around for the problem so I was able to upgrade the firmware, which means I can no longer demonstrate the problem. My work-around supports my theory that there is confusion over 32-bit vs 64-but checksum.
What I did was to install VxManager into the virtual machine used for GDS2 (which appears to be 32-bit). In that environment, there was no problem with obtaining a correct checksum and doing the firmware update.
I hope this might help the developers to make a real fix for this problem. Thank you.

I had error selection not available after entering module programming:

Then I downloaded “Ford Extending Programming.rar file from bellow link:  
from internet and I have this now.

And it’s now like in this video:
when I installed ghost image and when i plugged VCM it didn’t find any driver for vcm so i downloaded from internet vcm driver 2~ and its working but maybe its the problem?? do you have driver for this ??

Reinstall the IDS driver and its working (for windows 7 home premium some people says yes, some people says no, so it depends on your try.) VX Driver VCMii2.2.0.1510 is good also.

Tip:
Disable the internet connection, if the internet connection is disabled and you got no database then it means VCM2 doesn’t support your car, your car need to online programming with other device instead of VCM2.(i.e fvdi j2534)

  1. This Orange5 is clone but includes IMMO HPX 9V0 Software License and adapter set, it works good for me with hundreds dollar compared with the original thousands dollar. I just read 1d69j adapter success.
  2. First very easy to install, then I start tested it: all functions open 1-10 except car radio get error, tested reading usual EPROMS all good, tested tms370 with adaptor board did not read so maybe bad adaptor board, tested IMMO login code from dump, TMS VW works.

  5. Orange 5 OEM seems to be an EEPROM programmer. I often extract the dump of an EEPROM with a programmer and modify it with the software came with the Orange 5.
  6. Work great. Now I check in hc05b8, hc11e9 EEPROMs. All read and write very fast.
  7. I have Orange5 programmer OEM clone and everything works perfect for now. I have 4 secured MCU, and they work ok. On Hc908az60 secured it work’s good. I have tried 68hc11 and it work’s just perfect.
    I have tested with 1j35d, 4j74y, 1d69j, 0d69j, 0f82b, 3k91d, TMS 370c702 OK!
  8. I bought a clone orange 5 because original took a shit. We need put remote data up for all Chrysler keys and anything that uses 7941 to make orange immo reset more usefull. Have been logging out put of orange and mk3. Thought about making a device but by time done mk3 clones will be out. tnt enforcer opens up tm100 soft that needs paid for and alot of mk3’s software options. Hey why unpack exe go through all the hassle, just run xp and tntenforcer.
  9. read HC05x32 with O5 clone success, when you want to be 100% sure, better to resolder all point on them.
    Or maybe the problem is in the voltage, that sometimes it loses, first to make BOOT, and when of OK then to read, if you change manual of a value smaller to 5v to read to 5v down to the right, this error tries, also When you do a bad reading the info of the MCU modifies it to you, be careful to read an original MCU or it will be damaged.

How to fix Kess V2.47 wake up error?

RK Heli Skiing

Wow was für ein Tag! So haben wir uns das vorgestellt. Super Schnee und tolles stahlblaues Wetter und 3 schöne Pulverschnee Abfahrten die in die Muskeln gingen. Abfahrt vom Hotel in Banff um 05.45 in einem viel zu grossen Bus der auch noch schlecht geheizt war. Aberwas soll’s, wir sind ja ausgerüstet. Nach ca 2 Stunden durch die Rockies via Radium Hotsprings machten wir einen kurzen Coffeebreak und dann ging’s nochmals eine halbe Stunde den Berg hoch nach Panorama. Netter kleine Ort der natürlich vom Heliskiing lebt. Schöne Lodge wo sich alle Teilnehmer treffen. Frühstück war auch da und jeder konnte sich bedienen. Anschliessend Instruktionen vom Chef! Lernen was zu tun ist bei Lawinen und so. Anschliessend ging’s nach draussen wo wir das praktisch üben könnten. Noch kurzerklärt wie man in den Heli steigt ohne dass man geköpft wird und anschliessend wieder in die Wärme, was es doch empfindlich kalt draussen! Anschliessend konnte jeder mit seiner Gruppe zum Heli und nach dem Skiverlad ging los. Ca 10 Minuten Flug und erste Landung. Aussteigen und Abfahrt. Immer schön hinter dem Guide bleiben und geniessen. Landeplatz erreicht und schon war der Heli wieder da. Gute Kommunikation und Absprache sind hier nötig. Dann auf einen anderen steilen Hang und durch etwas Wald und eher flach zum nächsten Landeplatz. Keine 10 Minuten warten an der bereits wärmenden Sonne auf den Hel und das grossartige Panorama geniessen. Schon wieder verladen und weg in die Lüfte zum 3 Flug und Abfahrt. Dann wieder Unten gabs einen Kleinen Lunch mit Sandwitch und sogar warmen Tee. PS: klar hatte ich 2 kleine Stürtze aber halb so schlimm war ja Butter weich. Einmal Salto totale und Skisuchen aber es war jemand hinter mir der mir geholfen hat. Nach einem wirklich ereignisreichen Tag sind wir wieder in der Lodge angekommen wo wir uns nochmals verpflegen könnten. Anschliessend ging’s wieder 2.5 Stunden zurück ins Hotel wo wir uns im Pool entspannen könnten bevor es zum Steak ging und ins Bett. Über den 2. Tag können nur noch Superlativen weiterführen. Einfach Super Einfach Hammer einfach superschön. Kalt bei -31 aber windstill wares um 8.30 in der Lodge als wir ankamen. Kurzes Zmorge und letzte Instruktionen und schon ging es los Mit dem Flug ins Gebirge wo wir ca. 10 Minuten später landeten. Leider an einem Schattenhang Aber darum auch bessere Schneeverhältnisse für die erste Abfahrt. Schöner Schnee Und schönes Gelände. Schon war der Heli wieder da und flugs waren wir wieder in der Luft und An einem nächsten Hang nun in der Sonne. Was für eine Aussicht und wieder waren nur einige Spuren zu sehen welche nun mit unseren vermischt wurden. Was für eine Abfahrt! Kam unten Nächster Flug diesmal etwas gegenüber auf einem schönen Hang der einfach zu fahren war. Heute hatten wir Glück und kamen zu einem extra Flug weil der eine etwas kurz war. Bald war wieder Lunch angesagt und es gab Tee und Sandwitches. Bernhard und Franziska machten nochmals 2 Flüge und kamen total zufrieden zurück. Alles hat ein Ende und wir flogen wieder zurück in die Lodge wo wir den Tag bei einem Bier und Gulschsuppe ausklingen liessen, Mail und Handynummer austauschen damit jeder seine Bilder teilen könnte. Heute hatten wir Wirklich eine tolle Truppe beisammen. Nach kurzer Zeit war auch unser Fahrer wieder da der uns sich ins Hotel zurück brachte. Schnell in den Pool und anschliessend znacht im Zimmer und müde aber glücklich ins Bett.
