Jinx in Thailand and Sri Lanka

Take off from Zürich on the 10.12.2006 9.20 pm to Dubai > Bangkok > Koh Samui

...and land at INTERNATIONAL Airport (Terminal 1) of Koh Samui on the 11.12.2006 at 9.50 pm.

One of the most comfortable international airports to travel to! Everything you need you can reach in walking distance (1 minute). The airport has no closed rooms or halls and the only one restaurant has very good food for a very little money.

And that's real fun! With this small train (like in Disney World) they bring you from the runway to the airport building/ immigration desk...

..and Matt: you and the very big suitcase will also have a short trip on this "thing" :-)

Sri Lanka....I am at home again!

 I was living for 2 years in Mount Lavinia.

On weekends or holidays (every fullmoon) we where heading "down south" (a common saying in Sri Lanka) with the bike  Then enjoying beachlife with our friends..swimming, surfing, relaxing and having fun at the Sri Lankan's well kown white beaches. If not in the seasons (monsoon time), we just headed up to the mountains for motocross training or races.

My second home....part 2

I am so happy to see my "second home" after a long long time.....

I was living at the street just behind this hotel. This picture shows you the terrasse of the well known restaurant "the terrasse". I was relaxing there almost every evening after work and just watching the sunset, enjoning the peace!

Everybody in Sri Lanka goes to the beach after work. Just meeting friends, talk to them, play soccer, relax a bit or do some "kichu machu" (flirte und schmuse).

My second home...part 3

You can see Colombo at the the top of the picture (about 15 km away from Mt. Lavina). I was working there in an office owend by my brother in law.

This is the guesthouse I am staying over new year...enjoy the beach, the srilankan food and many other things.....

.....just the place to be on new year morning after the big party!

Get my self a fresh mixed fruit juce, a lot of fresh chilled water and relax after a heavy night in the shadow in a easychair on the beach and.....

hi christa!
kompliment für dein schönes blog (es wird ja in zukunft noch schöner!). ich kenne thailand schon recht gut, doch z.b. von koh tao hatte ich noch nichts gehört.
selbst fliege ich am 24.12.2006 für 4 wochen nach myanmar (burma) ab. dein trip tönt echt interessant - vielleicht werde ich 'mal sri lanka einen besuch abstatten.
